考场作文若能写出新意便能得高分，而要在短短的时间内写出有新意的作文，关键取决于考生能否做到构思出新。面话题，若按传统的思维方式构思，则很有可能陷入平庸，难以写出创新佳作。只有灵活、恰当地掌握创新构思的方法，才能写出有新意的考场佳作来。一般说来，话题作文的创新构思，可有下列切入角度。
一、从话题的另一意义的角度切入
许多中考话题都具有多义性，若只盯住其本义或其常用义，则构思很难出新，写出的作文虽不跑题但也显得一般化，若撇开其本义或常见义，转而从其引申义或其比喻义的角度切入，构思定能出新。如黑龙江省的中考话题是"水"，若从自然界之"水"这个意思层面上去理解，把"水"当成名词，则构思很难出新;若把"水"理解成形容词，如"这个人很水"，在这个层面上理解"水"的意思，则其拟题、行文都会很有新意。
二、从缩小话题内涵的角度切入
有许多中考话题的意思非常宽泛，若给话题加上一些限制语或修饰语，便缩小了话题的内涵，有利于考场作文出新出奇。如海南省中考话题是"第一次"，便应缩小其内涵，才有利于构思选材，考场作文才能出新出奇。这里要强调的是：添加的限制语或修饰语，必须避开众生皆谈、人云亦云的误区，要从自己的材料库中那许多不为人知的人、事、景、物着手。这样，新颖、独特的作文内容就会流于笔底，并能紧紧地抓住阅卷老师的眼和心。
三、从话题的逆向思维角度切入
围绕考试话题，自我多方设问，多方求答，用以开启思维，立意选材，这是众多考生的一般作法。然而，绝大多数考生只知沿着话题正向发问，而很少有逆向发问的。如江西省中考话题"尊重"，考生可以提出"何为尊重"、"谁尊重谁"、"为什么要尊重"、"谁可做尊重或被他人尊重的典范"等等问题，这些都是从正面发问，没能跳出常规思维的圈子;若舍弃"正向"，从"逆向"角度思考发问，"为什么谁不尊重谁"、"不尊重他人好不好，为什么"、"不尊重的事例或现象有哪些"、"怎样消除不尊重现象"等等，如此这般的提问思考，文章的构思、选材就避开了老调，步入了新境。
四、从话题的另一时空的角度切入

话题作文的三大策略
1、写好话题作文，首先要善于“化大为小”
话题作文试题有三个主要特点：第一，题目只提供写作内容围绕的核心，而不以标题的形式提供具体明确的主旨。
第二，只提供写作范围，而且范围相当宽泛，要求所写内容与话题相关即可，不要求归纳试题所供材料的中心意思并紧扣这一中心意思做文章。
第三，话题作文一般要求自拟文题，而非话题作文不要求自拟文题，也不能另立文题。
要想写好话题作文，首先要善于“化大为小”。话题作文的写作范围十分宽泛，如果仅把话题当做一个僵死的概念，视为“铁板一块，不可分割”的整体，笼而统之去做文章，势必内容空泛、文意散漫。
话题作文审题要不求“面面俱到”，只求“一针见血”。
化大为小"，"化空为实"，文章才能"出彩"，才能出现题材多样、迭彩纷呈的好局面。
拿下面一个话题作文为例：请以“压力”为话题，自拟题目，写一篇不少于800字的作文。
要善于"以问领写"："什么可以构成压力？""有没有压力？""压力来自何方？""压力带来什么？""怎样对待压力？"等等，然后自己回答这些问题，从这些回答中选择一二来写文章，达到"化大为小"的目的。可以写压力来自过重负担，也可以写压力来自责任感；可以写压力的从无到有，也可以写压力的从有到无；可以写压力来自外界，也可以写压力来自自身；可以写在重压下喘不过气来，也可以写变压力为动力；可以写要善于自我减压，也可以写"把压力放在肩上，不要放在心上"等等。要选择其中一个来写，不要贪多，否则会造成东拉西扯，空谈漫议。
2、写好话题作文，其次要善于“以小见大”
善于“化大为小”仅仅是写好话题作文的第一步，还要善于“以小见大”，从小的方面表现深刻的主题。这就要求在选择“小的方面”的时候，注意所选方面的“现实性、针对性、典型性”。在话题作文写作之前“化大为小”并不是我们的目的，而是凭借我们绝大多数同学的现有能力还不能将一个大范围的题目将清楚，“化小”以后，才能集中笔力重点突破。选择小的角度后，还要不忘大的话题。面对小的角度，又不要因其“窄”而“钻死胡同”。要由点到面，由浅入深地拓展、生发。
如有一位考生在写以“习惯”为题的作文时，先写自己上学时习惯走马路，生怕走新路会耽阁上学时间。接着写有一次自己提前上路，放胆走一回新路，一路忐忑不安，但终于走到了学校。如果作者仅仅写到这里就收笔，就会流于一般化。作者笔锋一转，引导人们深入思考：我们平时生活中，之所以怕走新路，不也往往是患得患失心理在作崇吗？读者看到这里，顿感柳暗花明，受到深刻的启发。我们要记住这样一句话：“角度要小，开掘要深。”
3、“独辟蹊径、表现个性”是写好话题作文的关键
写好话题作文的第二个本事是“独辟蹊径、表现个性”。《考试说明》“发展等级”要求考生作文“有个性特征”。要达到这一要求，必须增强“选择意识”。首先要善于选择自己熟悉的、想说的(有话可说的)，有一定拓展空间的内容去写。要善于选择新的切入点，也就是从新的方面认识事物、表现事物。
话题作文大题小作示例：
一位老师拿着一张画有一个黑点的白纸问：“同学们，你们看到了什么？”同学们齐声回答说：“一个黑点！”老师接着问：“难道谁也没有看到这张白纸吗？”
要求：请就上述材料引发的联想或产生的感受为话题，写一篇800字左右的文章，文体不限，文题自拟，立意自定。
化大为小的思维发散方向
思维发散方向点拨1：
这个黑点只所以显眼、突出，是有白纸作底色、作背景，背景一换，恐怕就没有这个效果了；反过来，这张白纸如果没有黑点的点缀，也不免单调乏味。从二者这种衬托与被衬托的关系出发，可联想到的自然现象有蓝天与雄鹰、草原与骏马、大海与帆船、黑夜与火把、沙漠与绿洲、绿叶与红花等，可联想到的社会现象有平凡与伟大、失败与成功、缺点与优点、邪恶与正义、瑕与瑜、恩与怨、好与坏、繁与简、主与次，甚至胖与瘦、丑与俊、动与静、闲与忙等，在这些子话题中选择任意一个，都可化大为小、变笼统为具体地完成本次作文。
思维发散方向点拨2：
拿出一张有黑点的白纸，人们往往只见点而不见纸，不管是本能、习惯还是思维定势，我们都可以沿着这个方向联想到如下的子话题：观察社会，只见黑暗腐朽不见发展进步；观察别人，只见鲜花掌声不见汗水付出或只记怨不记恩等；观察自己，只见劣势不见优势、只欣赏成功而不懂失败的价值、扩大痛苦淡化幸福等等。在众多的子话题中选中一个自己最有话可说、有理可论的，然后不计其余、集中笔墨阐述清楚即可。

偌大的一张白纸上只有一个黑点，它的周围还有大片的空白有待开发利用，我们可以用不同的方法丰富“点”的背景，使黑点灵动起来，变成雄鹰的锐眼或巨龙之睛；也可以把这个黑点想象成不足与缺陷，然后去设法弥补。沿着这两个方向联想，都可以使黑点产生质的飞跃。并据此选择一个自己熟悉的感悟点，然后通过适当的表达方式很好地写出来就是了。
